  • Established functional and productive regional offices for national organisations, providing strong staff leadership
  • Undertaken effective mediation of disputes, including complex multi-party disputes and sensitive matters
  • Effective investigation of grievances and complaints, including workplace matters, schools, Djarragun College, and service providers including private enterprise, government agencies and NGOs
  • Devised effective processes to gain evidence, facilitate participation in, and produce the report into, the Stolen Children Inquiry (‘Bringing Them Home’)
  • Conducted consultation with representatives of Indigenous communities, NGOs and government on the conduct of the Stolen Children Inquiry
  • Implemented organisational change and systems improvement for the Cape York Land Council in response to crisis
  • Key member of negotiation team producing Eastern Kuku Yalanji native title determination and Queensland’s most complex and meaningful ILUA
  • Developed innovative and effective communication tools for Indigenous audiences and successfully worked with Indigenous parties, including staff and individual and corporate clients
  • Selected and trained mediators, including Indigenous mediators
  • Contributed to the development of community organisations such as the Cairns Community Legal Centre and Cairns Native Title Supporters’ Group
